With the stunning colours of the Isle of Purbeck and Studland and a rare blue sky, we took the opportunity to grab a few vibrant photos for this site.
April 2025, and the Sky is blue. Steam engines, lush green hills and the beautiful Corfe Castle as our backdrop.
A favourite part of the country for us, from Poole to Lyme Regis via Weymouth, the coast and surrounding country side is wonderful. There is so much to see and do: the trains of course, fossils, ice cream in Swanage, sand sculptures, tanks, monkeys, ok the list is almost endless. Probably our favourite part is Corfe and its iconic ruined castle. Towering over a gap in the Purbeck hills, home to Peregrine Falcons and views across the Arne RSPB bird reserve and onto Poole harbour with Brownsea island full of Red Squirrels.
This was the first outing for Star and we are still learning so much. With the clear blue skies and yellow gorse as a background, there where photo opportunities a plenty. The Colours of Spring glowing everywhere.
